North Carolina Haunted Places

Fun for the whole family at NC ZOO in Asheboro in October:   HOWL-O-Ween  and Batology, with the celebrated Boo at the Zoo on October 27 and 28th.  With treat bags and a costume contest, enjoy Guess the Weight Pumpkin and get a "boo" tattoo.  Plan your trips at North Carolina Zoo events.

The First Annual Blackbeard Pirate Jamboree on 26-27 October is out on the coast, on Ocracoke and Hatteras Islands.  This is sure to become a favored annual fall event. This free event will feature demonstrations of seamanship, naval weapons and 18th century games.  A scavenger hunt will be fun for everyone, as you watch the crew arrive in their 27-foot open boat.
Check out the website as additional events are planned.

Try a Ghost Tour or Cemetery Walk in Asheville.
Look for the Pink Lady or stroll through the Riverside cemetery.  Spooky days and things that go bump in the night - it's all for your spookification!
While you are in the mountains, you can see the glorious colors of the fall trees.   Book a night or two at a member North Carolina Bed & Breakfast or Inn so you have a safe haven after an eerie ghostly tour!
